Job Purpose
Job Purpose : To provide risk-based assurance on IT systems,
cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, and data governance. This role supports
the institution’s digital resilience while strengthening trust in its
technology landscape.
Job Responsibilities
Key Outputs & Responsibilities:
- Audit IT general
controls, application controls, infrastructure, networks, cloud environments,
and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Evaluate digital
transformation initiatives, including AI, RPA, and fintech product
deployments.
- Review compliance
with ICT frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, BoZ
guidelines).
- Use automated scripts
and data analytics to detect anomalies and high-risk patterns.
- Monitor remediation
of audit findings and provide advisory support for new systems and upgrades.
- Evaluate the
effectiveness of IT governance, identity management, data privacy, and
cybersecurity incident response plans.
- Collaborate closely
with other auditors on integrated audits (IT + operational).
- Support other
assurance providers as part of combined assurance assignments.
- Support quarterly
audit reporting and presentations to the Audit Committee.

Qualifications
& Experience
- Grade 12 School
Certificate.
- Minimum
experience of 2 years in IT/IS Audit roles.
- Degree
in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related (MUST be certified by ZAQA).
- Certification
in CISA, CRISC, CEH, or CISSP preferred.
- Hands-on
experience auditing cloud, cybersecurity, or fintech environments.
- Knowledge
of regulatory expectations in the financial sector (e.g., Data Protection
Act, BoZ, ICT, Risk Framework).
- Member
of ISACA, ICTAZ, IRM or any related governing body.
